COLIN SULLIVAN (Executive Director) holds a B.A. in theatre arts and a Master’s Degree from Fordham University in teaching. He has trained as an actor in the Actor’s Theatre of Louisville’s professional apprenticeship program and the Michael Chekhov Institute for Theatre Studies. He moved to Telluride in 2008 and almost immediately discovered SquidShow Theatre’s unique brand of original theatre. Within a year, Sullivan was a full-fledged company actor and had taken over the Managing Director position, overseeing the fiscal management of the company. Upon the merger of the two companies in 2011, Colin was chosen by the board to lead the larger united Telluride Theatre organization as Executive Director. He also acts and is a lead instructor and developer of the company’s unique education programs.
SASHA SULLIVAN (Artistic Director) moved to Telluride from New York City, where she worked for the iconic Performance Space 122 and was a founding member of CuriousNoise Theatre and a company actor with several other companies. Sasha studied at Bennington College, trained extensively with the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Raina Von Waldenburg and worked for Philip Arnoult’s The Center for International Theatre Development. In Telluride, she founded SquidShow Theatre in the summer of 2007 and led the company on a successful five-year run, producing 14 full-length productions and countless collaborations, in many of which she wrote, directed, and performed. In 2011, SquidShow merged with the Telluride Repertory Theatre creating a new company Telluride Theatre where she serves as Artistic Director. Sasha is the lead instructor and creator of the Telluride Theatre’s popular adult education “Burlesque” class at Ah Haa School for the Arts. She is a writer, director and sometimes performer.
