Telluride Theatre is committed to advancing the performing arts in our region through innovative productions, education programs and community involvement. We create theatre that lives in moments of truthful human connection, promotes joyful celebration and is an open dialogue, accessible to all audiences.

Our vision is to transform Telluride into a recognized destination for theatre.

Passion, Creativity, Collaboration, Professionalism, Openness, Learning, Inclusiveness

In November of 2011, the Telluride Repertory Theatre and SquidShow Theatre merged their unique organizations to create a new entity: Telluride Theatre. The Telluride Repertory Theatre, formed in 1990, was known for community productions of existing plays, musicals and Shakespeare in the Park. SquidShow Theatre, formed in the summer of 2007, was focused on avant-garde company-based original work. The merge into Telluride Theatre formed Telluride’s first and only year-round theatre company. The companies united to create an innovative non-profit model that will grow Telluride into a recognized destination for theatre, and with the goal of offering high-quality programming, education and professional development to people in the Telluride region.

Sam has been doing music and theater since he was a wee one.  He plucked his first bass at age 15 when no one in his garage band wanted to play bass.  In 2008, he auditioned for the Squidshow production of “Big Love”, and hasn’t looked back since.  Credits include: “Cataclysm”, “Wake Up”, “Dude & Bro”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Hands on a Hardbody”, “Dinner With Dionysus”, and many more.  He also plays in a couple different bands.

Ethan studied acting and music at the University of Wyoming, and film score in LA. He has written music, performed and led ensembles, and has acted and sung in many Squidshow and Telluride Theatre productions. He feels very luck to have engaged in the full arc the company has taken thus far, and is excited to see it continue into the future.

Melissa is proud to be a part of the Telluride Theatre family. She is a performer, Burlesque teacher, and costume designer. Burlesque makes Melissa's winters sparkle and shine. She loves working with empowered women to give them a taste of what stage life is like. Costuming is her favorite way to share her talents. Nothing is more satisfying than helping people look their best.

Danielle moved to Telluride in 2012 to ski for the season and found a home with Telluride Theatre during their production of Hair. Danielle is the co-founder of the Telluride Dance Collective, choreographer for the Young People's Theatre, and director/writer/producer of Telluride Theatre/WPL "Books Alive" program. Danielle is a committed member of the House of Shimmy Shake burlesque troupe and has performed consistently since 2014.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Cat has trained and performed with Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Kuntu Repertory Theatre, and Cirque Du Soleil, among others. Since 2012, Cat has been both a choreographer and performer with Telluride Theatre.

She has a BA in Music Education from DePauw University, and is pursuing a Master's of Music from CSU.  Anna teaches music at Telluride Elementary School.

Pam first joined the Telluride Theatre family for it’s production of “Hair”. She has since performed in several productions a year.  Her favorites include “Dinner With Dionysus”, “Parallels”, and “Playing Santa”.  She is humbled by the talent that she is allowed to play with and thankful for the support her family and friends give her making this pursuit of craziness possible.

Colleen studied theatrical makeup design at the Academy of Makeup Arts in Nashville, TN.  Tired of living out of her car and painting sweaty faces and bodies at music festivals, Colleen packed up and moved to Telluride in 2013 to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming the makeup artist for Telluride Theatre. Nailed it!
